According to the Import-Export Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the EU is currently the second-largest importer of Vietnamese cashew nuts, accounting for 23 % of the total volume.
Vietnam Exported 135,000 tonnes Cashew In 2022
In 2021, Vietnam exported about 135,000 tonnes of cashew nuts to the EU, earning 816 million USD, up 16.5 percent in volume and 7.9 percent in value year-on-year. Vietnamese cashew nuts are available in 23 EU member markets, mainly the Netherlands and Germany. The two are currently important trading hubs for cashew nuts in the EU, because they not only import for domestic consumption but also re-export to other markets
