Cashew Harvest Season in Tanzania

 Tanzania is an East African country known for its vast wilderness areas. They include the plains of Serengeti National Park, a safari mecca populated by the “big five” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino), and Kilimanjaro National Park, home to Africa’s highest mountain. Offshore lie the tropical islands of Zanzibar, with Arabic influences, and Mafia, with a marine park home to whale sharks and coral reefs. The total planted area with cashew in Tanzania Mainland nuts was 695,683 ha, About 90 percent of the area planted with cashew nuts are found in three regions of Mtwara, Lindi, and Pwani. Mtwara Region (327,281 ha; 47.0 percent) had the largest area planted with cashew nuts, followed by Lindi (207,951 ha. 29.9 percent) and Pwani (91,815 ha; 13.2 percent).

  I n the southern province of Vietnam,   Binh Phuoc is known as Vietnam’s “cashew capital” , Binh Phuoc is proposing a project to develop and Increase the Cashew Cultivation Area cashew tree as the main crop.
